Information you share
Civil Match collects the information you provide when creating an account and professional profile, including your email address, name, career interests, specialties, experience, and any profile photograph or supporting materials you supply. Introduction notes, transcripts, resumes, and professional information provided to the team may also be added to your member record.
How information supports the service
Account information supports sign-in, profile review, and communication. Career and professional information helps the team understand your goals, prepare your engineer profile, and consider relevant coaching, mentorship, and project introductions.
Profiles and visibility
The service separates member and administrative records from public engineer cards. A public engineer card may display professional information and a photograph. Approved engineers with an existing card can manage its public visibility through their profile. Public information can be seen and copied by people outside Civil Match.
Providers and AI-assisted processing
The app uses Vercel for hosting and Supabase for accounts, database records, and uploaded files. Email and scheduling features may use Resend and Calendly. When enabled by the team, OpenAI or Anthropic services may process supplied transcripts, resumes, and professional context to help prepare profile information. These providers handle information needed for the functions they perform.
Cookies and technical information
Sign-in uses cookies and related session storage. Hosting and service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the service. Blocking session cookies can prevent account features from working.
Your choices and requests
You can update available profile fields and control public-card visibility in your account. For access, correction, deletion, and other privacy requests, contact us at the address below. Request verification, retention periods, deletion procedures, and any jurisdiction-specific rights still need to be confirmed for the final policy.
