Terms of use
Draft terms for using Civil Match accounts, profiles, and professional introductions.
The service
Civil Match, identified by its owner as civilmatch.us, helps civil engineers connect with coaches, mentors, and relevant professional opportunities. The team considers your goals, background, and experience when reviewing potential introductions.
Membership and account information
Joining Civil Match is free. Provide accurate information about your identity, skills, qualifications, and professional experience. Keep access to your account secure and share only materials that you have permission to provide.
Introductions and separate engagements
A profile or introduction does not guarantee a particular match, project, income, or career outcome. Any paid coaching, mentoring, or project engagement should have its scope, fees, responsibilities, and other terms agreed separately before work begins. A platform introduction does not by itself establish an engineering-services engagement.
Professional responsibility
Members remain responsible for accurately representing their qualifications and for evaluating the suitability of a professional engagement. Applicable licensure, confidentiality, employer, and project obligations continue to apply when using Civil Match.
Respectful and authorized use
Use the service respectfully. Do not misrepresent credentials, harass other people, upload confidential material without permission, attempt unauthorized access, or use member information for unsolicited bulk messages.
Profile content and privacy
Information supplied for a profile or introduction is used as described in the Privacy policy. Review information before making it public and avoid including client-confidential or employer-confidential project material.
Items for the final terms
Eligibility, account closure, service changes, content permissions, dispute procedures, and other legal terms must be confirmed by the owner before this draft is adopted.
